〝PREMIÈRE〞在法文形容詞字意中，有著首要、卓越的意思，在高級訂製服領域，意指著工坊中首席女裁縫師，而對製錶領域而言，則是CHANEL於1987年推出第一款專為女性設計的腕錶，其靈感來自於八角造型的No.5香水瓶蓋與芳登廣場(Place Vendôme)。
